A partially rotten human cadaver appeared drifting by on Big Camp Creek at midnight. Alarmed by the watchers the phantom faded away into the dark. The ghost of a grower dressed in a farmer hat was observed at Cone Mills Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight flickering a lamp. When noticed the ghost approached the witness who then ran off. In any event, it certainly is a chilling spirit that any rational person would not want to bump into.
