Cary, North Carolina Ghost Tales I live right next to Bond Park in Cary. I can see Bond Park from my house. One night i had gotten home late from a movie and it was a cold night so me and a friend went out into the street to talk. My friend went inside to get food and go to the bathroom. Through the trees to the park i saw a shadow of a man limping across the woods. This was 12:00 at night! I continued to stare at the man as he continued to walk very slowly and stiff. The undeceased are here in this city as the local residents will declare. Several local residents say these tales are untrue, but everybody who has a home in Cary is not alive. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The spirit of a strapped up gentleman can often be seen at midnight pursuing a passing Jeep on a shadowy road right next door to Cary.       One thing is for guaranteed, this ghost sure is bloodcurdling; one that you do not want to encounter late at night. The ghost of a street bum may be observed frequently at Apex Lake Dam late at night taking pleasure in the landscape. The spirit of an aged witch has every now and then been made out down beside the shore at Silver Lake   shouting at the bystander to leave. In any event, this is a horrible ghost that any reasonable person wouldn't want to come across. A gentleman with a large hole through his chest is every so often seen in the backseat of a Toyota by the driver observing the ghost in his rear view mirror at the stroke of midnight. A man with the head of a goblin is known to have been spotted on one or two occasions burying a corpse by a big boulder in Carl Alwin Schenck Memorial Forest very late at night. A somewhat decomposed human cadaver may sometimes be witnessed throwing stones into the flowing water at Brier Creek before sunrise. Some folks assert this spirit is the spirit of a visitor that was killed while traveling through Cary in the past. The phantom of a planter dressed in a hat has often been seen by a lady hunting in a forest in the vicinity of Cary. If you talk to the locals, this ghost loves startling foolish folks who are courageous enough to interrupt the calm in Cary. No matter what, it's a chilling ghost that should be let alone.
