After we finished playing in the Snow we came back towards Cherokee and pulled onto and parked on the bridge that accesses the southern terminus of the Blue Ridge parkway. The parkway was still closed for Winter so parking on the bridge     was no problem. My wife and I went to the upstream side of the bridge and were talking and looking down on the oconoluftee river. There we saw a native american Man walking downstream towards us on the right hand bank of the river. Except as noted we both saw the same thing: straight Black hair to below the shoulder from the waist up Only a bone breastplate pants or leggings and moccasins. I remember him carrying a spear in his right hand and looking into the River as if he were fishing. My wife remembers something in his right hand but not what it was.   (continued on the next page...)
