If you go down the road by the railroad track at night, you are sure to see the buoy light. Everyone in Clarkton should be familiar with the ghost of J Buoy. His ghost is similar to that of the Maco light in Maco, NC.
I have seen it, and much more than that down there. If you park across the railroad tracks on a rainy night, you will surely see it. The light comes out down at the tussle and it swings and then goes over the trees.
The next time it will come out closer, and will come all the way up to you, that is, if you stay parked that long. It is there.|

Comment by B: Yep! There is something on that track. A shadow came up on me and my mom one night it looked like a guy with a hat on from the shadow but he wasn't there we both saw it and took off but planning to go back real soon!.|
Comment by Billy: The Buie light was bright enough to cast shadows. Our car full of kids made us leave from the Elton crossing.
