Elkin, North Carolina Ghost Tales MY PARENT WHERE HEADING DOWN 268 TO WORK ONE MORNING AROUND 5 AM AND THERE WAS A ELDERLY WOMAN WEARING A WHITE GOWN AND HAD WHITE HAIR AND WALKED TOWARD MY PARENT S CAR AND JUST STOOD THERE AND WAVED. THERE WAS NO HOUSES NEARBY AND NO CARS AND WHAT WOULD AN OLD LADY BE DOING OUTSIDE IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE IN HER NIGHTGOWN BEFORE SUNRISE? MY PARENTS CALLED THE PLOICE BUT THEY DIDNT FIND ANYONE. Submitted by DAWN In the day you may very well imagine Elkin, North Carolina is exactly like any other municipality, but this municipality is governed by the undead after the sun has set. The undeparted are in this municipality as the people who live here will tell you about. People who have never stayed for a few days in this municipality will inform you it's a pack of lies, but with so many ghosts in Elkin you have a relatively nice chance of observing one if you stay for a few days here. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a man sporting a police outfit came       into view at a coin operated phone in Elkin talking on the phone. The ghost acknowledged the presence of the watcher. Whatever people verbalize, it's a scary spirit that any wise person would not want to meet. The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead was spotted by Cedarbrook Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight looking   at the water. When the ghost was perceived it vanished into the thin air. The ghost of an old guy with a large white beard came into sight burying a dead body by a sizeable boulder in Crestwood Memorial Park in the early morning hours before sunrise. The phantom was swallowed by the night after being perceived. It has been alleged that this individual ghost takes pleasure in frightening foolhardy people who come searching for ghosts in Elkin. A female with a knife sticking out of her head was observed on the water's edge of Holyfield Lake carrying a cranium. Freaked out by the eye witnesses the ghost departed into the night. One thing is for sure, it in all certainty is a frightening ghost that you shouldn't go trying to find. The armor of a medieval knight devoid of a human being inside was noticed sobbing in the middle of a wild highway next to Elkin in the early morning hours. When perceived the ghost approached the witness who then ran off. A partly transparent gentleman dressed as the captain of a ship has often been noticed standing by a deserted road close to Elkin. Nonetheless, this spirit undeniably is terrifying; one that is preferably not upset.
