She and my grandfather later moved to NC. My grandmother use to tell me ghost stories of when she lived in SC. She said that before her and her husband were married her and her family lived in a big wooden house far from the road which was then a dirt road. And they had an outside toilet which was far from the house. Right beside the yard was a really     big field and her father had big brushpiles in the field. The house was high up off the ground. And one night she went to use the toilet. Walking back to the porch middle way of the yard she stopped and stood to watch a big red ball of fire come out of a brushpile. The ball was high as the house and slowley moved to the porch where it then went under the porch. My grandmother said she calmly walked onto her porch but when she tried to turn the doorknob she thought about what she just saw and could barely get the knob turned. She finally did and ran inside.
