Henderson, North Carolina Ghost Tales There is a house by Kerr Lake that is haunted I saw things that were unnatural one night I was sitting on the couch when my remote that was beside me started moving up and down on the couch.months later I was laying on my couch I got up and my phone had spined around on the table by itself. Submitted by anonymous There is a house off of Vicksboro Road deep in the woods with a pond in the back that I went to one night to stay the night. It was where a friend of mine lived at. I asked her to invite her brother over that night I had a crush on him since highschool. Later that night we were laying on a pile of blankets me and my boyfriend who is now my husband when I heard a noise that sounded like footsteps and I asked him did you hear that and before he could answer me someone or something violently shook the back door but did not enter it. I told my boyfriend to go check it out but to my surprize he was too scared but I wasn't I picked up a knife off the counter and swung the door open. I walked out on the back porch that had a screen       around it and I looked closely but I saw nothing. I walked over to the one exit which was the back door that had a screen on it with a latch and it wasn't torn and the latch was still connected so how could anyone get away it was unexplained. Months later I heard that there were voices heard from the outside around the house. Submitted by anonymous There   is a brick house on US 1 towards Franklinton on the right hand side before you get to the train tracks that is haunted I use to live there.I was asleep one night when I woke up to an empty house no one was home but me.I had a strange feeling so I got out of my seat in the living room where I was sleeping at and I moved over to the love seat I looked over next to me and saw a white shadow figure sitting next to me.I was frightened and scared not knowing what to do I went into the kitchen as I was standing there the can opener flew off the counter at me it was a good ways up on to the counter and there was no breeze.Right after my family pulled up in the car I was relieved that I was no longer alone and nothing else happen that night. Submitted by anonymous I saw a little girl outside sitting on a tree stump she was wearing a pink summer dress and had a really big knife stuck in her chest she was staring at me she was only out there when I was outside when my mom or brother would go out side she wasnt out there it was only when I was!
