I saw a creepy body of an old guy. It looked like a monster on Kittrell College Road by the pond.|

Daughter lives on Mum Lane in Kittrell. She had large mobile shook (home whole thing) one night. Grandchild saw a man in a tree wearing all black maybe hanging. Other grandchild told it to leave and go to heaven, and it did. Thank God. I feel that a dark force wants to enter her home.

A man walking on the train tracks with a lantern held in his hand was coming towards us, so we walked towards it, and he just disappeared. They said that he lost his head as a conductor for a train that ran through Kittrell many years ago. The legend goes that he was holding his head and lantern in hand leaning out of the trains booth window when his head was taken off, supposedly he was looking for a mail catch pole. The lantern that was hung on the catcher pole was not lit that night. He had to use his own lantern in order to see the mail catcher's pole which was used for transferring mail for the united postal service to get mail from state to state. It was a way to hook mail onto the pole as the train was going by, but that night the lantern was not lit on the catcher's pole. When he leaned out with his lantern in hand it was too late, off with his head. Legend has it that the headless conductor still roams through those very train tracks searching for his severed head with lantern in hand.
Several eyewitnesses have reported this story for years to this very day. It is also bad luck to touch the rock with a smiley face while climbing up to the trussel under the trussel bridge, so be careful to look for it if you dare to go look for him. This is coming from someone who witnessed this sight with about 20 others hanging out at the old trussel one night.
P. S. The smiley face rock is real, so beware.

Go down Kittrell Main Street, the fire department should be on your left as you're heading a while from it. When you get to the 4 way intersection make a right (should be either North or South Chavis Street).
