In summer of 2003, my family and I went on Vacation to the NC beach area. While exploring Fort Fisher, on the north side of the fort is this odd looking tree. As I looked closer at the tree, I saw a soldier in gray, leaning against the tree holding his rifle along his side. If looking at the picture he is on the right side of tree, standing up, with his rifle standing right beside him. His head is branch high (the branch that makes a diagonal v). Mainly in the pic you see a distortion of space, but he was there and when he saw me, He straightened up at attention like he was posing for the picture.
