There have been a lot of encounters with entities from another world. Several people who live here assert there are no ghosts, but everyone who stays in Lowland is not alive.

The ghost of a lady with a sack fastened around her head showed up smoking a cigar in Alligator Creek. This particular ghost has been spotted often in this area.
A fairly translucent guy outfitted as the skipper of a fishing boat was seen after midnight hurrying after a passing pickup on a shady road outside Lowland. There have been other descriptions regarding this ghost in the area.
The phantom of a young-looking guy in a confederate uniform materialized reading a book in Goose Creek State Game Refuge after midnight. Several sightings of this ghost have been described.
