Custom Search Rural Hall, North Carolina Ghost Sightings Rural Hall PAGE 1   2   3   4     Several years ago my husband and I bought the nathaniel Sutherland House on stanleyville drive (built in 1854). We were moving ourselves a little at a time from a House we had rented in old salem. The first night we spent in the House we were awakened by the loud sound of glass breaking. The first thing I thought was that an oil lamp chandelier that I had hung in the dining room had fallen from the ceiling and crashed on the floor.     I ran downstairs prepared to find a mess to be cleaned up in the morning. The chandelier was hanging as Normal so I went through the House looking for a broken window or anything that could have caused the noise. I found nothing broken or out of place. While we lived there I also heard footsteps upstairs when I was downstairs and alone in the house. This was in the mid 1990's. We Only lived in the House for a couple of years before my husband's job moved us to another location. I am curious if the new owners or anyone else for that matter has heard anything   (continued on the next page...)
