Salisbury, North Carolina Ghost Tales

My husband had to create a ''photo album'', with a theme, for his job.  Living in Huntersville, NC, we chose to create an historical album based on Revolutionary and Civil War sites within a reasonable driving time (given the cost of gas),  as such we chose Salisbury, which has many historical locations.  Stopping at the train station, home of the office of the Salisbury Historical Foundation, we were directed to the Lutheran Cemetary, a very small burial ground close by, to see a local curiosity.  I have NEVER visited a site where I felt less welcomed!  The cemetary is quite small, perhaps encompassing
a few hundred grave sites, some of which are simply memorials to fallen Civil War veterans but the majority of the graves occupied by local residents.  The vast majority of the graves are occupied by
residents who passed over during the 19th century.  As we progressed thru the graveyard I had a feeling that I was being ''watched'', by which I mean that I felt that someone was DIRECTLY behind me.  The hair on my arms and the back of my neck stood up and I was FREEZING cold.  I kept getting the thought in my my ''Get out, just get out!''  ''You don't belong here.''  Geez!  I kept looking over my shoulder, I don't know why but I have never had this feeling EVER before in any graveyard.  I usually feel that a graveyard is the most peaceful place to be, but this certainly changed my opinion.  I
have never experienced anything like this before and could not wait to leave.  I just don't understand it!.

At first sight Salisbury, North Carolina seems like an average town, but under the surface there are weird things happening. Loads of spirit reports have been disclosed by the locals. Several locals claim there are no spirits, but anyone who has stayed for the night in Salisbury, North Carolina knows better.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A headless gentleman was witnessed smoking a pipe in Cannon Park very late at night. The viewer got freaked out and ran away. Some of the people who live here say this phantom is the struggling spirit of a long gone Salisbury local resident. In any case, it is in all certainty a frightening ghost that you wouldn't wish to meet before dawn.

A female with her arms sliced off was spotted sitting in a chair in a house in Salisbury. The ghost reacted to the observer.

The phantom of a gentleman carrying a blood-covered spear was observed hauling a cranium under a streetlight in Salisbury. When the ghost was spotted it faded away into the air.

The phantom of a civil war fighter was observed sniveling up on the summit of Dunn Mountain. The ghost was swallowed by the air after being observed.

The phantom of a gravely charred female has often been witnessed looking in the middle of Deals Creek. If you talk to the local residents, this phantom is the phantom of a vacationer that was killed while journeying through Salisbury many years ago.

The phantom of the driver of a train is repeatedly distinguished staring at the water by Messinger Dam late in the night.

A woman lacking a head has purportedly been noticed on a few instances flashing a light down next to the water's edge at Rowan County Wildlife Lake. Regardless of what, this ghost unquestionably is creepy; one that any sane person wouldn't want to meet.
