Vass, North Carolina Ghost Tales I moved to Vass a little over three years ago. I live in an old house that the man who built it died in this house. For the longest time my youngest son would not sleep in his room. I asked why he would he said because the man in his room scared him. I didn't think much of this until I started seeing shadows move in the house. My wife also was upset with us because she was thinking we were leaving shower curtain open. Until one day her and I were sitting in living room no one else home and we both heard the shower curtain open. Every time we paint or change something in the house he gets upset. I have seen him one time he is a short man about 5' 5'' flannel shirts and work pants. He has also turned lights on and off before. He is a playful guy we been here three years and he hasn't really done anything to harm us. But we leave shower curtain open.
