Back in 1993 I was renting a little pool house in West End. The house was heated with heaters that did not blow air. Sometimes at night the bedroom would get so hot even when is was very cold outside. One weekend my friend stayed overnight with me. That night, the bedroom got extremely hot. I woke up to find a girl with long dark hair and a purple dress sitting on the side of the bed. Her back was to me so I didn't see her face. Thinking it was my friend, I leaned over to ask her if she was OK and realized she was still sleeping beside me and the girl sitting on the bed was not her. At that moment,

the ghost started to slowly turn her head to look at me. I was so scared that I layed down and pulled the covers up over my head and started calling my friends name. When I looked up again the ghost

was gone. After this incident, my Christmas tree branches would start moving for no reason and I could feel the presence of someone all the time. I was told that a man died in the house but this apparition was not a man, it was a woman.

The spirit of an aged female grasping a rifle came into view howling at the onlooker to be off in a
rubber raft on Pinehurst Water Supply Reservoir. This ghost is exceptionally active in this neighborhood; there have been numerous other reports of this specific ghost. According to what the residents
allege, this spirit might be a well-known yesteryear native of West End.
The ghost of an old Indian chief was witnessed throwing pieces of wood by Big Juniper Creek. This is one of those ghosts
that is observed time and again in close proximity.
The ghost of an aged cleaning lady has often been seen relaxing on a couch in a mobile home near West End. Many people who live here declare
this ghost is almost certainly the undead ghost of a local person who used to have a house here in West End.
The ghost of a youthful female clad as a maid is repeatedly seen climbing a tree in
Goodwin State Forest after midnight.
The ghost of a homeless man can frequently be witnessed in the backseat of a Ford by the driver distinguishing the phantom in his rear view mirror late in the
night. Residents here who have made out this ghost claim this ghost is the struggling spirit of a long departed West End person who lived here.
