While we were looking for a House to buy we rented a House in historic old salem. A few months after the move we found a House in Rural Hall just a few Miles from winston-salem. The House was built in 1855 and had reMained in the same family until shortly before we bought it. Since it was Only a short distance we moved ourselves into the House a little     at a time. When we finally got our bed set up in the House we were able to sleep there even though not all of the furniture had been moved. During one of our first night in the House my husband and I were awakened to the loud sound of shattering glass. I had hung an antique oil lamp chandelier in the dining room and my first thought was it had fallen from the ceiling. I ran downstairs to the dining room ready to find a mess that would have to be cleaned up in the morning. Nothing was out of place!
