Abbeville, South Carolina Ghost Tales | |

I haven't seen what this ghost/spirit looks like. I've sensed him in the Abbewood Bed and Breakfast a few years ago. I believe that he is a soldier from the Civil war who was working on the attic, which is still unfinished. It's believed that he ended up hanging himself while working or maybe his wife hung him some how. Im not exactly sure. But doors have shut on their own. There have been indents in pillows and beds. There's been an odd odor from an unexplainable source. He's not scary or rude by any means.

A youthful girl wearing a blood-splattered wedding gown is occasionally perceived devastating a map in Abbeville Historic District in the early morning hours. Several of the folks who live in this town assert this ghost is most likely the undeceased ghost of a resident who used to live here in Abbeville.
A woman with a green face may every now and then

be observed mid stream in Adams Branch searching for a hat.
The spirit of a mail carrier was observed throwing stones into Four H Club Lake at night. When the ghost was made out it faded away into
the night. It's been declared that this specific ghost is the tormented spirit of a long departed Abbeville resident.
A gentleman's body with the head of a skunk came into view on the top of Parsons
Mountain in the early morning hours staring at the view. Panic stricken by the watchers the ghost receded into the dark.
The phantom of a man hauling a sword was witnessed near Rapley Shoals after
midnight smoking a cigar. When spotted the ghost moved toward the witness who then escaped. If you listen to the locals, this ghost is the ghost of a vacationer that was murdered while journeying through
Abbeville many years ago. In any event, this phantom indisputably is bloodcurdling; one that should be let alone.
The phantom of a lady having names etched into her cheek materialized in an Abbeville
secondary school very late at night striding the halls. This individual ghost has been noticed frequently in this spot.
A lady with larvae crawling out of her eyes was perceived in a mirror in
an Abbeville house; the ghost was solely detectable in the mirror. There are other stories with reference to this phantom in the area.
The spirit of a tied up lady was witnessed looking for a hat
next to a parked vehicle in an Abbeville parking lot late at night. Many folks close at hand have had equivalent happenings with a very similar ghost.
A woman hauling her head beneath her arm has
often been made out yelling around midnight on a sidewalk in Abbeville. Lots of locals allege this ghost enjoys startling unwise people who dare to upset the tranquility in Abbeville.

of a gentleman with half his head lost is frequently spotted attempting to exclaim something in Bobby Brown State Park quite near the ranger station. Residents who have seen this ghost say this ghost
