I'm a little confused, there is a Lucas Bay Road in Bucksport next to pee Dee grocery but you say the road is called Gilbert road now. I live on a dirt road off of Gilbert road. But my Gilbert road is in Conway across from Todville village. I'm just trying to figure out which road it is because I had an experience with something one time. My email is ryan88z@yahoo.com.

We ALL saw it! me and 7 friends!
we went out there at like 4 in the morning and sat and waited, and i saw this light at the end of the road that i couldn't stop watching and i let everyone know about it, and it started to flicker more and more, and i got chills and then it gets closer and closer almost instantly, and i don't remember screaming but i screamed apparently and i hit the truck bed floor CRYING, and when my roommate heard me cry, he knew it was time to go but when he tried to start the car, it wouldn't start :( everyone says your car wont start... It definitely didn't...

And the light just got closer and closer and closer. She must have thought i was her baby crying because she sped up when i started to cry.

to stay the same distance from out car. I could not explain it but it looked as if it was floating in the air!!Worth a trip if you want to see something unexplainable!.

I am a Christian gentleman that has lived within a mile of the Lucas Bay Road for all my life, and I want to clarify this matter.
I know many dedicated Christian people and other people that live near me in the Lucas Bay Community that have seen it and would not be dishonest about it. I also know some who live in this area that has never seen it even though they have searched for it many times.
You may never see it, but I can guarantee you that there is definitely a light on Lucas Bay Road (now called Gilbert Road) that has been periodically seen for over a 100 years that is totally unexplainable.
I will be honest and admit that I went down there searching for the light many hundreds of times and never saw it, therefore, I never believed it was real untill back

in 1971, when it appeared to me and followed my car for several miles. Since I first saw it 38 years ago back in 1971, I have personally seen the Lucas Bay Light 3 additional times. You may go many times and see nothing, but then you may go and see it the next night, it is totally unpredictable. The weather, the moon or etc. Does not seem to effect when it is seen.
