Years ago when we moved here or maybe 2-3 years afterwards when I was staying with my grandmother we heard a knock at the door. We checked and at the time the door had a window. We didn't see anyone so my grandmother got her pistol. She put it in the window so if anyone was there they would see it and leave. The porch had not been built yet either. When I left for a weekned in Georgia     my sister came to stay with her since my grandfather was gone. The next night around Midnight everyone was in bed. The knock came again and so everyone woke up. It came again and so my sister and grandmothe had a gun. My mother went out a window and my grandmother out the front. Nobody had even been in the yard it seemed and it was wet and muddy so there would have been something in the dirt. In the 1700's Many slaves had worked the land here. We live a few Miles from the old Antioch school feild and community center. This is such a wonderful historic place to live   (continued on the next page...)
