When I was a kid my dad moved to Anderson, SC. I lived with him in my teenage years, but early on I lived in Williston with my mom. When my dad would come get me, we would have to travel through Honea Path. I never knew why, but I was always afraid of that town, like when we would get close, I would slump down in my seat and shut my eyes until my stepmom reassured me that we had passed it. Sometimes it was broad daylight, and I was still terrified.
I never knew why.|
I haven't found much online as far as ghost stories except here. I drove through there twice as an adult, and I was still terrified
but seeing as I was the driver, I couldn't very well shut my eyes and hide in my seat.|
By the way the two times I drove through it, it was broad daylight. I never actually saw anything, but I get chills just thinking about the town even now. Can anyone offer some insight as to why I had a bizarre phobia of the town, or has anyone had a similar experience?.
