But have a good time when you do go. The light is real if you give it a chance to appear and watch in quite.

Me and my friends were on spring break in Edisto. We decided to go to the Jacksonboro light one night about 1 am. We had about 12 people piled into a Suburban. We went to the church flashed our lights 3 times then went and parked on the old railroad beds and flashed them 3 more times. At first the light was yellow then one of my friends yelled out the window that we had his daughter and the light instantly turned red. As the light got closer we could see a lantern shaking back and fourth, and the ghost kept switching sides of the road. Then a car came down the road so the light disappeared but behind the car we could see what appeared to be railroad crossing signs going down and they were red.
So we rolled down the windows and heard a faint sound in the wind that sounded like a train after about 5 minutes the light started moving towards us. As it got closer the car started acting up. The inside lights were getting dim and the heater would cut on and off at random moments, so we decided to get out of there. The next night we decided to go back but this time 4 of us me being included decided to get out the car, and walk towards it screaming awful things at it it got close enough to us for us to see the out line of a man holding a lantern but never would get close enough for one of us to try and touch it. The reason I believe this is a true ghost is because there are street lights on this road and when he first appears the road turns pitch black and all you can see is the light. All noise stops and all movement stops and as he gets closer you find it hard to look away or even move.

Comment by Aqati: This seems to be exactly the same experience I have (with the exception of seeing the shape of a man). Cannot see from side of the street to side of the street. Had it chase us before (with my girlfriend in the car).

I have seen the light several times. You don't have to flash your lights or honk your horn. Just go down Parkers ferry road and Park facing 17 anywhere near the church. It will usually come out within a couple of minutes. Sometimes it will follow you as you drive back toward 17.
