Lexington, South Carolina Ghost Sightings
Around thirty years ago my husband and I built our home on property which has been in his family since the 1850s, complete with family cemetery located on neighboring property about a quarter mile down the road. Even before our home was completed, I sometimes felt the presence of someone watching me, and there have been many odd happenings over the years. We have had doors swinging open, the sound of someone walking through the room, and so on.|
was a one and only time that I ever saw a tangible ''ghost'' or whatever it was. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a little girl dressed in
white standing beside the bed. I leaned up on my elbow and tried to speak to her, but was too shocked to form words. She looked alarmed that I could see her, and she retreated into the open closet and disappeared among the clothes. Just as she disappeared, I heard my son who was about three years old at the time coming down the stairs. He and I have always had a very close emotional connection, and I think he sensed that I was disturbed. Weird stuff.
