After she had tortured her husband to death she killed herself right there too. Ever since then the area has been haunted by both of them. You can hear the screams of horror from the husband throughout the park when it's quiet. And the wife sometimes shows herself to lone men in the park that fit the description of her husband. This is a story that my grandmother told me as I was growing up. She was born in Spartanburg and lived there 'til the early 1930's. She said that when she was a little girl that they had lived in a house that was said to be haunted.

The story is that a witch had lived there and that she was made to move because she did not pay her rent. She moved but said that no one would ever live there in peace again. My grandmother said that when they moved in 3 weeks and 3 days later her baby sister got sick and died. And at the wake they saw a man and a baby in the front room and the baby was crying you could see right through them. Then in 3 weeks and 2 days later her other sister died. And the same thing happened at the wake.
In 3 weeks and 3 days her mother got sick and they moved before the end of the day 3 and never went back. Submitted by Kathy
Comment by Brendai: I would love to know where you lived, I live in a haunted house in Arcadia, now it's really scary and I do believe you.
