Phantoms are so typical around here; many folks who live here don’t even lose sleep about it any longer. A luminous human figure has frequently been made out at Wallops Beach going for a moonlight-hour swim.
The ghost of a pregnant female has been perceived on several occasions hauling a dead body through some bushes in Wallops Island National Wildlife Refuge in the early morning hours before sunrise. In any event, it is certainly a scary ghost that you would not want to come across before dawn.
