thinking that I had failed my prank. Then I heard two kids laughing, then three. Then it got to the point that it was more than I could count. I ran to Billy, grabbed him. Then we both got on our bikes and left. The next morning we told our friends at the railroad and no one would believe us except Mr. Samuel.

Comment by D: After reading both stories of the Cape Charles Baseball field what actually caused it to become haunted by the children who were playing baseball? Was there a train accident while they were playing that caused their deaths or something else? It would be nice to have the explanation of what it is called the field of screams as apparently there are haunted Halloween attractions that use this moniker all over the country. Other states also have ''field of screams'' for other reasons. Please update if possible for the rest of us who would like to know the entire story. Thank you!.

I have just moved into an area in Smith's beach. It is an old run down fixer-upper trailer. I spent a lot of time painting in my art shed while my parents went into town. One night I spent 6 hours from 8 pm to 2 am. I eventually noticed the time and wondered out the shed towards my house. I noticed rustling in the woods and saw a little girl holding a cat. She waved excitedly and started to back into the woods. I called out to her until she vanished into the forest.
The next day I saw what could've been that cat in my backyard. I had recently bought a kitten who loved to sit on the window sill and would watch the cat in the mornings. Every time I spend the night in my art shed I see this little girl. She has long ginger hair and a pair of overalls, asking I'd seen her cat. It's creepy. .
