I'm not superstitious nor did I believe in the paranormal but that experience made me re-think the possibilities. It scared me solid. Later when I told some of the locals of my experience they were not surprised and some told their own stories of this place and how they will never go back there again. I think I'll follow their feelings of that place. I'll never go back. Submitted by Bobbie
Comment by anonymous: Hey Bobbie, I saw your post. My mom lives in Dunlora and I would live to know exactly where this place is there.

Comment by Bobbie: This was years ago before they put in the subdivision and the by-pass. It has been at least 20 years since this happened to me. It was a long dirt lane that went straight off Rio Rd. But they cut that part of Rio Rd. out when they by-passed it. It is back there trust me. As I said I haven't been back since. I'm sure if you asked around that someone could direct you how to get back there and it is listed on the internet as Dunlora Mansion and is really old. I went back there with 4 of my friends late one night because we had all heard numerous stories of the place and just went out of curiosity. None of my friends ever went back either.

Comment by Rob: I used to live back there. There is the urban legend of the boy scout leader taking 13 kids back and killing one. When you drive in there are 13 trees and only 12 when you leave. (having visited there years prior with friends on a boring summer night) this is merely an optical illusion. However I lived in the maid quarters next to the main house. It is haunted. Footsteps feeling like you're being watched and a motion sensor night light in the hall way that goes off coinciding with the footsteps. A few graveyards and other slave quarters that are down right creepy. On a final note: DO NOT TRESPASS on this property. They will not hesitate to shoot you.
Comment by Tasha: One question, were is Dunlora located.
