I lived in/grew up in a house on Maple Avenue for 16 years (1996-2012) and I believe it was haunted. When I was between the ages of 5-12 the activity was the worst, but it continued until we moved out. Also, it was just my mom and I in the house and she had experiences as well. Here are my experiences:

1. The front bedroom was where the most creepy things happened. When I was little, I heard breathing (breathing was the most common, and it always sounded like it was right next to my ear), whistling, men talking, and whispering in that room. Sometimes I would feel something touch my feet or pull my hair, and eventually when I was 12 I convinced my mom to switch bedrooms with me. After the switch, she felt someone ''swipe'' at her legs very often and that continued until we moved out. I remember one morning when I was around 5 or 6 I woke up because someone was tickling me. I thought it was my dad coming to pick me up for the weekend, but when I opened my eyes no one was there, and the tickling continued. I screamed for my mom and when she came in it stopped. A few years later I had a TV with a DVD player in the bedroom, and I would sleep with the TV on because I thought it would make me feel safer, but almost every night the TV would turn off in the middle of the night, change to a different channel, mute itself, or the DVD would randomly eject. My mom thought it was broken, so my dad took it to his house to look at it and test it out, but it worked perfectly there and he ended up keeping it. I always felt very uneasy in that room, and when I was in there alone it always felt like someone was walking in or out of the room even though no one was.
2. The back bedroom was far less creepy, but I still had some weird things happen in there. I slept in the same room with my mom sometimes when I was too scared to sleep in my room alone (before we switched). I had very very long hair when I was little, and I had my hair pulled in there several times. I also woke up in the middle of the night one night to see a man standing at the head of my bed holding a lantern over my head. I screamed and bolted out of the room to my mom who happened to be in the bathroom at the time. I don't remember hearing whispers or whistles in that room, and it never had a creepy feeling to it like the other bedroom. I never really had many encounters in there after we switched. Things slowed down as I got older, however when I was 17 I had a whiteboard hanging in this room, and I was sitting on my bed watching Netflix when suddenly the whiteboard started shaking by itself. That really creeped me out especially after not having anything creepy happen for a while.

3. The kitchen also had one strange thing happen in it. When I was 13, I was home alone one day babysitting my dad's dog. I had everything in the house turned off because I needed it as quiet as possible to do my homework. Suddenly, I heard the back door open and my mom call out my name and asked me where I was. My dog, Missy, heard this too because she got up and ran to the kitchen door (which was closed at the time, and the back door of the house was in the laundry room which was attached to the back of the kitchen) and started barking. I yelled back that I was in the living room and waited to see what she wanted, but I didn't hear anything else. Missy was still barking and running around in circles, so I got up and went into the kitchen to see what my mom wanted, but no one was in there. That was so frightening that I sat out on the front porch for the rest of the day until my mom actually got home from work.

As you can see, most of the activity happened when I was younger. From the times that I was about 13-18 (we moved when I was 18) I didn't have very many experiences at all. My mom always felt like something was touching her bed up to the time we moved, and she said when I was at my dad's or a friend's house she would occasionally hear someone yell ''Mom!'' I wonder if the new owner of the house has had anything like this happen to him or her... I also wonder why there were ghosts in there in the first place...

Comment by Carla: What is the house number? Did it happen to be 207?.
