Cumberland, Virginia Ghost Tales

Woke up to ghost sitting on side of my bed with its hand on my leg. Thought to be great grandfather not sure though.

While the sun is shining Cumberland, Virginia is your common United States city, but struggling ghosts of the olden days in this city don't appear to wish to die. Things occur around here that can't be explained by science. People who have never stayed overnight in this town will tell you it's all just superstition, but a stop in Cumberland, Virginia will make anybody believe.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

The ghost of a dreadfully burned lady is now and then observed pulling a cadaver through some bushes in Bear Creek Lake State Park late at night.

The spirit of a guy with a name carved into his head has allegedly been seen on frequent occasions by Bear Creek Lake State Park struggling to verbalize something.

The phantom of a terribly mangled hunter pulling a dead coyote may every so often be spotted
 
    trying to seize something on the water's edge of Bear Creek Lake. Whichever way, this is an intimidating ghost that you shouldn't go trying to locate.

A lady without a head has frequently been made out trying to get cars to stop alongside a gloomy road next to Cumberland.

The ghost of a young female with a wire around her neck is often
  distinguished taking in the panorama at Arrowhead Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight. In any event, it's without a doubt a terrifying ghost that should be avoided.

A gentleman with no head can regularly be observed in Cumberland State Forest at night climbing a towering tree.

An incredibly menacing ghost can be perceived very often drifting along on Bear Creek before sunrise. Several of the folks who live here claim this ghost is almost certainly the undead ghost of a person who used to have a house here in Cumberland.
