The police could never solve the case, but many people have claimed to hear laughter and snickering coming from the large granite monument.

In Cross-Creek , at the stroke of midnight , every night . There is a woman with some flesh on here face, and some decayed flesh , she walks the roads of Cross-Creek just staring in windows , I have seen her more than 20 times.
When I take a picture , after I get them developed , she never shows up . I know I'm not crazy , because there have been multiple complaints throughout the neighborhood describing her exactly as I have .|
Some people that have moved away , claimed that they had a kid that was out late , and they saw her looking in there window , laughing , and their child never came home .|

Me and a bunch of my friends went into the girls' locker room at school. We shut the door and turned off the lights. Then we all went into the bathroom, and we all thought we should do the Bloody Mary thing, so we all shut our eyes, held hands, and said ''Bloody Mary.'' Nothing happened for a moment. Then we felt a cold chill, and we looked at the mirror, and it was broken. It had blood on it. I looked over to tell my friends ''let's get out of here,'' and when I did she was not there. Then she looked at me in my face and said ''you kids better leave before I get you too,'' so we got out of there. I will never do that again.
