Fort Eustis, Virginia Ghost Tales It was long ago...My father was stationed on Eustis and our housing was on the now gone Stillwell St.? There were several strange things that was witnessed by every one in our family.? I recall being nine years old and sitting at the kitchen table sipping a middle of the night drink.....when the kitchen cabinet and freezer door opened and closed several times right in front of me....needless to say, I went back to bed.? The apparition favored the side of the house where my parents bedroom and guestroom was...So that where it was seen most often. On another occasion, Easter morning to be exact, my younger brother and I were waiting anxiously for our parents to wake up....we were sitting on the couch in the living room quietly watching for any stirring on the part of our mom and dad.? It was 5:00 in the morning and we were wide awake...the rule at our house for Christmas and Easter was that we were not to touch presents or goodies till parents awoke and we COULD not wake them till 6 a.m.? Ok so we were sitting, waiting, watching when above our       parents waterbed 2 foggy human-shaped ghosts were encircling in time with the ceiling fan over them.? we were not scared, we had seen things before and heard others relay their encounters in our housing unit.? And they were gone after 2 or 3 minutes.? I have always wondered if there had ever been sightings or ghostly experiences in Fort Eustis other   than ours... Before we open up footsteps in the other side of the shop, late at night more footsteps or something moving slightly.? Things being knocked over (usually small things) when no one is around that area.? I've even been working in the middle of the day and a small Homer Simpson figurine which has a button where a ''Yahoo!'' sound is made.? I was nowhere near the figurine and it said ''yahoo!''.? First glancing into some cars I've seen someone sitting in the drivers seat, and when double taking there's an empty seat.? My partner hears things as well, with me there or when he's alone.? We've spoken to people who previously worked the station, and they have ALL said that they've experienced things as well, as much as 6-7 years before.
