That base, at least the houses adjacent to the Battlefield Park are without a doubt haunted. I have seen too much to prove otherwise. I lived there.

I was talking to my friend while on CQ in one of the barracks, and suddenly I heard breathing. I turned to my friend and asked him if he heard it. He said no. Then we started talking about haunted spots on military installations. Then as soon as I mentioned the Fort Polk parade grounds we both heard this loud sigh. Then a few seconds later the lights flickered and went out. Thankfully it was time to wake the next shift anyway, so we got out of there.

I live in Fort Lee, Virginia and at my house there it was a positive energized spirit. It stalks me over my bed every night. I called the cops, but they didn't believe me. On November 17 1968 my husband Richard mysteriously died in the middle of the night.
A week later I heard screaming shutting doors and I saw a glowing red negative energized spirit. My kids and I soon moved to Austin, Texas because of it and now we live without any spirits or ghosts.
But I now know that fort Lee Virginia is a hotspot of paranormal things.
