Glade Spring, Virginia Ghost Tales I've lived in Glade Spring all my life. When I was in the fifth grade I was asleep on the top bunk of my bed. My mom and then five year old sister were in the bottom bed. I can't remember what time it was, but I just woke up all of a sudden. There beside me looking out the window was a ghost in a confederate uniform. At first I wasn't affraid, Ijust stared at it for around twenty seconds or so. Everyone else was still asleep, so I started trying to wake my mom up by calling her name. When she answered I told her to look. At that time the ghost started to turn toward me, I rolled over and covered my head. About that time my mom turned on the light. I ask her if she saw it, and she said yes. Needless to say we got nomore sleep that night. A guy with a big hole through his torso is sometimes   observed in a home in Glade Spring. A woman's body with a goat's head has been observed on frequent occasions gulping water up on Bald Knob. Whichever way, it sure is a frightening ghost that is better not interrupted. A fairly decayed human body was distinguished looking at the panorama at Edmondson Dam on a dark night. This individual ghost has been observed often in this place. Locals claim that this spirit takes pleasure in frightening unwise folks who are fearless enough to interrupt the quiet in Glade Spring.
