We have our very own haunted ruins, Rosewell. The best place to ''feel'' something isn't at the ruins itself though. Go down the trail to the pit where they kept the ice in summer. Gloucester, Virginia is just like any other place during the day, but under the surface there are remarkable things going down. Spirits are so ordinary in this place; a lot of people who live here don’t even fret about it any longer. A number of people who live here say these tales are not true, but Gloucester is jam-packed with stressed souls just waiting to frighten you.

The ghost of an old prospector with a sizeable mustache and an eye patch emerged in Pratts Mill Swamp at the stroke of midnight trying to deposit a cadaver. The bystander got scared and escaped. In any case, it's a menacing ghost that you wouldn't wish to come across on a dark night.
