I found it in a supposedly haunted house. the house is over 110 years old. Many ghost accounts have been told by the residents. People who have never spent the night in this town will laugh and say it's lies, but anyone who has spent the night in Haysi, Virginia knows better. These are some of the spooky things       that have happened here recently. The ghost of an aged prospector with a big beard and an eye patch was witnessed discussing into the night in Breaks Interstate Park. by the park headquarters.   The ghost didn't seem to be bothered by the witnesses. A lot of local residents declare this ghost may be the soul of a person who lived here who died here in Haysi a long time ago. The phantom of an aged female carrying a shot gun has repeatedly been made out looking for another ghost down near Cold Spring before dawn. The spirit of an elderly Indian chief is often made out in Breaks Interstate Park at midnight dragging a corpse over the grass. One thing's for sure, it's a menacing ghost that any sane person wouldn't wish to meet. A pitch black snake that shifted shape into a woman has allegedly been perceived on a small number of instances checking out The Breaks late in the night. Nevertheless, it is indisputably a menacing spirit that you shouldn't go searching for.
