A short ghost was seen by my sister and I years ago at the treeline behind my house around 9:00 PM. When my sister and I went to investigate it, it was not there. We think that it was the spirit of a deceased servant that served a wealthy previous owner many years ago. That (female) servant died in a fire.

If you listen to what the residents allege, this phantom is the phantom of a visitor that was killed while journeying through Hillsville some decades ago.
