Hopewell, Virginia Ghost Tales

When I was a young girl and lived in City Point in Hopewell, Va. I was sent to the corner store. Across the street from the store was an old hotel and former civil war headquarters. On the way to the store I saw a confederate soldier standing in front of that building carrying what looked like a gun with a sharp point on the end of it. The soldier looked right at me. I turned and ran home leaving my shoe behind. When my mom came to check it out the soldier was gone. But I've never forgotten it.
