In Linden and my House was built in the late 1800's and at night when I am sleeping I lay in the bed and hear things that go on upstairs the stairs are blocked off and I have 5 Jack russells. They go to the steps and look upstairs all the time as if someone is there. Like I said when we are sleeping there is someone there. Because one of the dogs gets her toys and plays all night long as if someone     or something is playing with her. My husband was upstairs one Day and came downstairs and said that something had brushed up aganist him. He's always saying that if it has not Hurt us then it wont. But just don't tick them off. You can smell a Cherry pipe smoke every now and then. Haven't smelled it lately!! What to know why have not smelled that smell lately.... Only if u can come one night and smell the smell and listen to the sounds upstairs in my house. How Cool is it to know that we share our House with someone else.. This is a true story!!!
