Every night at midnight a window shade in a second floor window at a house on main st. goes up by itself. then about a minute later it goes down. this was several years ago when the house was empty. now people live in so I don't know if it still happens. but when it did dozens of people saw it.

You may very well assume that Madison Heights, Virginia is precisely the same as any other town in the US, but this town is visited by the living dead once the sun is down. Tables shift around, words out of the darkness. Folks who have never stayed for a few days in this city
 
    will say to you it's lies, but the things that occur here in Madison Heights in the dark hours will freak you out.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

  lady without a head has purportedly been spotted on one or two occasions at midnight giving a lead excursion of Lynchburg Boulder to a group of phantoms. No matter what folks state, this ghost certainly is frightening; one that you wouldn't want to meet at midnight.

The phantom of a youthful female with a line around her neck may regularly be seen performing a song on a harmonica in a Madison Heights residence. One thing is for guaranteed, this is an antagonistic ghost that you shouldn't go looking for.

A man devoid of a head may be spotted frequently in Blackwater Creek Natural Area
