A place on Poplar Creek just across he mountain from Grundy is a place known to the locals as ''Dark Hollow''. Its located just at the foot of Hoot Owl Mountain. At night you can walk down the road to the first curve and wait.
I have seen some things that will make the hairs on your arms stand up. There is a number of things that you may see. One is a woman in an old white dress that walks up the road and then up the hollow through the woods.

he is near when you smell the musty perfume that she is wearing. Another thing that you can see is a figure pulling a chain down the road behind him. If you stop beside the road and take pictures of the road and the mountain side

you can see the orbs and outlines of figures watching you.
I personally didn't believe in the paranormal but after experiencing this for myself I dare not question the existence of spirits and ghosts.
