Mechanicsville, Virginia Ghost Tales I live in the neighborhood behind mexico resturant on Mechanicsville tnpk. Every night that I am outside between the hours of 3am-to 4am I hear the sound of two small boys runing through my back yard laughing as they were maybe 4 or 5 years old. When I go to approach the noises in the backyard I hear a vivid scream that then comes from inside the house. When I attempt to walk back to the house the lights flicker on and off. I do not understand what exactly it is. I have stayed up numerous nights to see if this happens repeatedly. Most times it does. Since then I have moved out and the house is now being rented. May we only pray for the people who live in it now. Submitted by Megan       Categories: home, noises I had lived in a house on Rural Point rd. It is huge and has a barn in the back yard. When I was little I would always love to play upstairs so when I went up the stairs one day I heard the heavy footsteps of a man and thought my dad was following me. I looked behind me, and I saw no one but kept hearing the footsteps, and I       felt a presence in front of me. I would also like to play in the basement, and I learned that my house was built on a civilwar camp, and that a man had killed himself in my basement. When playing in the basement I would hear the tightening of a rope, and a strained groan sometimes. Or I would hear a demonic laugh. It was the scariest thing of my life.   I had just recently visited the old house, and I noticed that alot of damage is done to the house, and I looked around and still felt that strange presence when I got near the house. I don't know where on j David Ln you live but there is a Cemetery on that Rd in front of a cape cod..I don't know if you knew that or not but that could be where it comes from.  .
