Monroe, Virginia Ghost Tales Two different ghosts. Both on parkway between monroe and big Island (area between 130 and bridge over James river). In the early morning hours commuting back and forth to work I have seen a white apparition of a man on a bike wearing a helmet and biking gear. Also briefly saw the back of a man walking, had long dark hair and was wearing a camoflage jacket, disappeared before I could turn around and look again (near the site where a man was burned very badly and ended up dying). Also heard reports of old cemetery in monroe, directly off of 130 where at night a set of glowing red eyes can be seen. There       is also a man-made lake right beside the James river bridge where a woman mysteriously drowned in her SUV in eight feet of water with the gear shift in neutral. Upon driving past this lake (Otter Lake?)   at night there is an undeniable uneasy feeling that usually results in me having to turn on the interior light in my car until I have passed the bridge. Just thought these things were worth mention.
