I have lived 3 houses down from crawford road for 15 years and in my teenage years my buddies and I used to go back there and do teenage things.nothing ever bothered us, but one night while walking down the road,my friend and I were startled by a very soft and far away shreik and thought nothing of it, however, a few minutes later we heard a rustling sound from behind in the woods and turned and saw a bluish-gray shape about 50 ft out. When we turned and stared at the thig, the rustling sound stopped, then all of a sudden picked back up as if something were running to us, immediately we turned and ran and I havent walked down that road since.

While the sun is shining you may well assume Newport News, Virginia is exactly equal to any other city, but when the gloomy shadows of the night roll in the undeceased invade. Some of the departed won't rest in this settlement. Some local residents argue there are no ghosts, but anyone who has stayed for the night in Newport News, Virginia knows better.

A female with a moderately transparent body has allegedly been witnessed on a handful of instances trying to flag down cars down a shady highway right next door to Newport News. In any event, it's a creepy ghost that you would not want to meet late at night.

phantom of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead was distinguished taking in the landscape at City Reservoir Dam around midnight. Other folks close at hand have had equivalent events involving a very similar spirit.
The spirit of a gentleman having on armed forces attire materialized in Butlers Gut in the early morning hours before sunrise trying to dump a dead body. This ghost is exceptionally active in this vicinity; there have been a small number of additional accounts of this particular ghost. Some of the people here say this ghost can be the soul of a resident who died here in Newport News many years ago. Regardless of what, it without a doubt is a bloodcurdling ghost that any normal person wouldn't wish to bump into.
A lady with a knife sticking out of her head was seen in the center of Bailey Creek hauling a human skull. This is one of those ghosts that is made out repeatedly in the neighborhood. It has been said that this individual ghost is in all probability the tormented ghost of a local resident who used
