Oakpark, Virginia Ghost Tales


Daylight in Oakpark, Virginia is exactly the same as day anywhere else in this country, but when the darkness of nighttime begins; things become menacing. There have been scores of happenings with spirits from another zone. Not everybody believes in the stories the residents tell, but anyone who has stayed overnight in Oakpark, Virginia knows better.

A lady with a sword sticking out of her head was seen staring irritably at the viewer by Beaverdam Run. The viewer escaped after she witnessed
 
    the ghost.

A medieval knight's armor with no human inside was witnessed looking at the water by Hartland-Hall Dam Number Two at night. The ghost did not mind that there was somebody else in attendance.
  One of the local residents steadfastly alleges that this ghost is the undeceased spirit of a long forgotten Oakpark local resident.

A moderately translucent gentleman dressed as the skipper of a freight ship was spotted standing by a secluded highway close to Oakpark. The appearance of the witness frightened the phantom who then disappeared. Whichever way, this is an antagonistic ghost that is preferably not disturbed.

The ghost of a youthful guy sporting a confederate uniform was spotted in Madison Wayside before dawn covering a cadaver by a big boulder. The phantom spoke about revenging
a murder.

The phantom of a street bum has frequently been seen surveying the vista from the pinnacle of Bruce Mountain at the stroke of midnight.
