A female with a moderately translucent body has sometimes been spotted smoking a cigar at Burke Lake Dam late in the night. A number of of the folks who live here argue this phantom is that of a resident who had a house here in Occoquan a long time ago.

The phantom of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead is occasionally observed reading a newsletter in Burke Lake County Park at night.
