We have what we believe are a couple of ghosts in our home on Indiantown Road, most recently more than one family member has heard a little girl laugh in our dining room when our kitten pounces around in it. By daylight the residents in Orange, Virginia do their work exactly equal to anywhere other, but some long dead folks from the past have come back to this town. Couches travel about, screams coming out of nothing. Some local residents claim there are no spirits, but not everyone of the locals of Orange are quite alive.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.
The spirit of a guy carrying a blood-splattered sword has every now and then been noticed gulping regular from a gasoline pump at a gasoline station in Orange. A woman who lives here alleges that this ghost can be the spirit of a local who passed on here in Orange a long

An army outfit staggering around lacking a body in it is known to have been observed on a few occasions in Beautiful Run burrowing a hole.
The ghost of a civil war soldier may sometimes be seen trashing a book in Rapidian Historic District at midnight.
The ghost of a gentleman having a name etched into his back was witnessed

searching for a shoe up on Chicken Mountain. The ghost didn't mind that there was someone other there.
The ghost of a train driver appeared looking at the water by Burrus Dam late in the night. The appearance of the viewer alarmed the spirit who then disappeared. Several of the folks here claim this ghost may very well be a recognized past dweller of Orange. Well, this spirit sure is scary; one that any sound person would not want to come across.
The ghost of a seriously mangled hunter dragging a dead coyote was observed smoking a cigar in a boat on Burrus Lake. The ghost mentioned avenging a homicide.
A female devoid of a head emerged walking a Sheepdog late in the night on a gloomy Orange road. The eye witness was frightened and ran off.
A gentleman devoid of a head was witnessed peeking through building windows in Orange before dawn. The ghost waved to the watcher.
The spirit of an old gold digger with a large mustache and a wooden right leg was perceived searching through trash container on an Orange avenue.

When the ghost was distinguished it disappeared into the night. In any event, it's a creepy ghost that you shouldn't go seeking.
