Apparently La Fayette stayed there during the revolutionary war (hence the name) , and it was the home of a postmaster general during grant's administration. garb, leaning with head down on the mantel of the fireplace in the kitchen. This was obviously the most used room as the house had wood floors and this room's floor was the most worn.
