He is not an evil entity. On occasion my husband's grandfather will appear. I can see his beautiful head of white hair. I have never been scared to be in this house.

A house on Franklin Street Petersburg Virginia is haunted by sallie branch Hobson born November 29 1896 and died July 16 1989 buried at the corner of Myrtle and Virginia Avenue in Blandford cemetery. Her father was Samuel Hobson born February 5 1856 and died February 20 1932; her mother was sallie bott Hobson born October 12.
1870 and died March 11 1946. There is also a Civil War soldier buried on the same plot - berthier bott 1lt CO. C bn. VA res csa sallie branch's brother. My father Wesley Woodrow Pritchett owned Pritchett wood and coal company in the early 1940's.
He use to deliver wood and coal to sallie Hobson on Franklin Street. She died in 1946 and my sisters and I were going to start grade school so my father purchased the house for approximately 5 700 and we moved there in August 1946.

My sister Joan Elizabeth Pritchett started first grade at Duncan brown school on Wythe Street and my twin sister Fay francine Pritchett and I started grade school in 1948. Many unusual happenings occurred there.
The circa 1792 house was built by the strailman family who owned the Petersburg building supply company. It was in need of many repairs and shrubbery had literally taken over the front and back yards.
