too oblivious of one another. We never heard a twig or leaf crunch as they moved. One night we tried to follow a few of them, and they either disappeared into the woods or at the edge of the park by the house at the end of Morris Road.

Comment by Steve: Jon, I found an old map while doing an Eagle Scout project at the park, that place called Morris road was on it-it is now a new development that I don't think was there back in the 70s. While working on the trail at the park (there is a wooden bridge there but the ranger who runs the place said there used to be an old metal pipe with a dirt road over it.
Did Morris road run up to where Greeley is and the park entrance - because it sure looks like an old road. The rangers said that it shows up on an old post office route map from the early 1900s. Anyway right by the wood bridge (built by Eagle Scouts) there is a pile of bricks like a caved in building - was there an old brick building there as well?.

Comment by Jon: Steve, Morris Road is now called Kenwood Avenue. Those houses were built around 1979-1980 which is off Rolling Road before Rivington Road, and it ended literally within 100 yards of hidden pond. If you entered the park through the dead end at Greeley the trail would bear left downhill and lead you to the pond. If you didn't bear left and followed the other trail, it would lead you to close where Morris Road used to be.

The bridge I think you are referring to is on the opposite side of the pond leading to the covered brick gazebo like building with the fireplace in it. I haven't been back in a while but will visit there soon to see it again. My mother still lives right there. I plan to scope it out one evening and see what I can scare up. Maybe an EVP or something. That place used to be really ''ACTIVE'' back in the late 1970s.

Comment by anonymous: Thanks Jon, yeah I have heard about the place supposedly being haunted. I went to a program last fall and heard some ghost stories told at the campfire. I asked about the park being haunted and the guy telling the stories said that before it was ever a park the people who lived in the house by the nature center had been told by locals the land (an old farm site) was haunted.
