The spirit of an old sorceress has regularly been perceived fluttering across Cow Gut Flat late in the night. According to the people who live here, this phantom may very well be a renowned former time local
 
    of Wallops Island.

A female's body having a donkey's head is frequently witnessed at Arbuckle Neck before dawn looking down into the water.

A fairly rotten human cadaver is rumored to have been observed on a few occasions drifting along on Arbuckle Creek very late at night. No matter what, this is a horrible ghost that should be stayed away from.
