Wise, Virginia Ghost Tales Just a few nights ago me and my friend were at a basketball game when we kept noticing lights on in the auditorium so we decicded to check it out. When we walked down the hallway to where we thought we might get a glimpse of what was happening we saw nothing so we decided to take a picture just to see if anything would show in the picture that we werent seeing with out eyes. There in that picture we saw eyes, a nose and a mouth!! You can kind of see the shape of a male. Whoever says this place isnt haunted is crazy. Submitted by Leakrm Ever heard of the old orphange? There have been reports of slamming doors, the laughter of children and the images of people staring at you through the windows. This place is truly haunted and I belive these ghosts are some what angered. The building is now closed and no one is allowed inside. When she hollered at it to see who it was (she couldn't see bc of the stage lights) no one answered. It turned out that everyone was backstage & upstairs. She was all alone... These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a zinc-miner is now and then witnessed having a seat at the kitchen counter in a Wise trailer thinking. If you talk to the local residents, this ghost likes scaring unwise people who come seeking ghosts in Wise. One thing's for sure, it indisputably is a menacing ghost that should be avoided. The ghost of a guy dressed as a handy man has purportedly been distinguished on frequent instances startling folks at Bear Creek Dam after midnight. If you listen to what the residents allege, this phantom may be the soul of a local who passed on here in Wise before the present. The ghost of a man wearing a sheriff outfit may sometimes be made out strolling through a building in Wise. Either way, this is an unpleasant ghost that is preferably not messed with.
