I was stationed in Yorktown for 2 years about a year ago and would travel around Colonial Yorktown to sites that are said to be haunted. The Nelson house is within walking distance from the beach front in Yorktown and is said in many books (and by locals) to be the most haunted.
Every time I have been there while walking on Main Street up to the house you will have a very un-nerving feeling that someone is staring at you from the attic windows. I had seen something move from behind one of the windows a year ago on the east side of the building, and have almost always experienced a hostile feeling.
As far as cameras go... If you go there and take pictures, you will capture ''orbs''.|

If you go to the cemetery on Cook Rd. behind the brick wall to the old cemetery, you can see orbs there. I've seen first hand full bodied figures of what I thought to be a mother and child standing by a tree there. In the distance from the cemetery, you can hear screams from women too.
